Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/11/24)
Season record: 167-101
Luka Doncic (G/F – DAL): OVER 0.5 triple doubles
Luka has been on fire over the past two weeks, posting a triple double in six straight games while posting averages of 36.33 points, 10.83 rebounds, and 11.16 assists per game over that stretch. The 2.37x multiplier is the main draw here, as Luka is listed at 10.5 assists and 9.5 rebounds. Luka will continue to be a factor on the boards on a team lacking strong rebounders in the frontcourt, so he should continue to push for double digits tonight. 10 points and 10 assists is a near lock when Doncic is locked in, so this is a 10 rebound play with a better multiplier. The streak will end eventually, but when Luka is hot like this, you need to ride with him, regardless of opponent. Light up the More on Luka for Monday night.
Kelly Olynyk (C – TOR): OVER 1.5 steals + blocks
An Olynyk line is not something I envisioned going into the night, but it stands as one of the top probability plays for Monday’s slate. Olynyk has recorded two or more StOcks in each of his last five games, recording two steals and two blocks in three of them. This total will shoot up to 2.5 if he has another game with two or more StOcks, so take advantage of this line while it’s available. Jakob Poeltl underwent surgery for a finger injury and, for all intents and purposes, can be considered shut down for the season. Olynyk should continue to flirt with 30+ minutes a night, giving him all the opportunities he needs to make good on this two StOck total. Opt for the More on Olynyk for Monday night basketball.
Michael Porter Jr. (F – DEN): OVER 4.5 1st quarter points
This is not the type of play I typically gravitate towards, but with Sleeper Picks continuing to limit the value on More plays (which the public favors), I went for one with form and trends aligned. MPJ is averaging 5.3 first quarter points per game and has put up 6.2 over his last five contests. He has recorded at least five points in each of his last five 1st quarters and is a solid bet to do so again against a depleted Toronto Raptors defense. Yes, a poor shooting night could derail the More, but MPJ has been pretty locked in from the field lately and should find success against a Toronto team without its top defender in Scottie Barnes. Mash the More on MPJ for Monday night.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
