Columbus Crew and LAFC went head-to-head in the MLS Cup final at Lower.com Field on Saturday, the culmination of a thrilling MLS Cup season.
Wilfried Nancy’s side went into the game as slight favorites and they put in a dominating performance against the reigning champions. Goals from Cucho Hernandez and Yaw Yeboah gave the Crew a commanding lead at the break and they saw out the win, despite a late goal from Denis Bouanga.
The Crew had the benefit of home advantage, a determining factor in the last four of five finals, where the home team has won.
