Inter Miami player Ian Fray picked up an injury against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup that means he will miss the rest of his club’s season.
On Saturday, Inter Miami confirmed that the youngster suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury – his third in the same number of years – and he will now miss the rest of the campaign, including the Leagues Cup and MLS.
Fray was challenging for the ball with Cruz Azul’s Moisés Vieira, however, he ended up falling badly and left the pitch in serious pain. Gerardo Martino was forced into a change and Noah Allen replaced Fray.
Fray’s nightmare
The Florida native has had terrible luck in terms of injuries and missed all of 2021 and 2022 after suffering similar injuries in preseason.
