Scott Foster’s officiating crew for Game 4 in Dallas
Crew Chief Scott Foster will lead an officiating team that comprises Referee David Guthrie, Umpire James Williams and Ben Taylor (Alternate) with Tony Brothers in commanding the Replay Center.
This is the 17th time that Scott Foster has been designated an officiating role at the NBA Finals. His refereeing career goes back 30 years and he is the most experienced member of the 12-man officiating crew that the league announced for this series. During his career, Foster has been in the middle for 133 Celtics regular season games with Boston’s record at 73-60.
As for referee David Guthrie, this will be his 7th Finals – the first being Game 2 of the 2018 series between the Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. The 50-year-old Athens native has officiated 1,013 regular-season games in 18 seasons as an NBA staff official. Boston have a 4-1 record with him calling their games.
